To maintain required safety levels, the fuselage of any full-size helicopter features external mounting and access points for technicians, allowing them to check and monitor all areas of the machine.
These areas are specially strengthened locally to cope with the load, and they are also fitted with a non-slip coating. For pre-flight checking of the Jet Ranger, for example, it is necessary to climb over the area around the dome so that the rotor head can be checked.
Access points on full-size helicopters are immediately recognisable by these special non-slip areas.
You can imitate these surfaces on your model by cutting panels from this self-adhesive material and applying them in the appropriate positions.
