The basic method of operation of the turbine-powered Bell 212's rotor head is the same as that of the Bell 47 G III rotor head. The main difference is that the components have been modified to match the appearance of the Bell 212, and are therefore of different design. For example, a separate swashplate driver is not required, as it is integrated into the overall system.
Due to the shared design features, this rotor head's flying characteristics are similar to those of the Bell 47 G III, and can be classed as very nicely balanced and easy to fly. It is certainly possible to operate this rotor head without supplementary electronic aids for swashplate control.
The rotor head presented here should be used exclusively with the rotor blades 413.
