The "big Bell 230" from VARIO is a 1050 size scale helicopter. You can power this remote-controlled model helicopter with turbine or electric propulsion. Bell Helicopter is the creator of the man-carrying version. The model incorporates GRP technology which substantially shortens the required building time. The 2.5 l fueltank - itself a GRP moulding - doubles up as a support for the undercarriage. The retractable undercarriage is mounted on the transverse member below the tank. The supports in the fuselage for the mechanical system are also based on a GRP sub-structure.
For VARIO's 1050 Bell 230 we recommend a main rotor speed of approx. 960 rpm. Electric drive sets from VARIO are already tuned to this head speed.
