When you build your first model helicopter you will find all the linkage components required to connect the servos to the mechanics supplied with the RC set (German radio systems only). When you come to installing servos in other models you can use this servo linkage set which contains all the link balls, screws, nuts and screw-fitting pushrod...
This version of the ballraced tail rotor drive system is designed for installation in full-fuselage models. Power is transmitted by a 6 mm stainless steel drive shaft with a length of 980 mm.
This length ensures that the system can be used in virtually all our larger fuselages, provided that the main and tail rotors are fitted with the articulated connections 49/56 and 49/60.

When a 2 mm steel drive wire is used between main gearbox and tail gearbox the tail rotor might yaw the heli during acrobatics (e.g. turn), because the wire might "wind up". At this moment a small "wind up" will cause a small change of tail rpm, which requires steering corrections.A so-called "rigid" tail drive system gives a more exact drive to the tail...

PTFE guides in the tail boom provide the necessary "lubrication" for the drive shaft, which eliminates the need to oil the system separately.PTFE guide for 0.8 mm tail boomPack of 3

On a model helicopter like the Hughes 500 e.g. the tail boom is extremely high connected. Therefore an articulated centre support is applied in addition to the articulated tail drive system. The centre support is double ballraced and pre-assembled.Articulated joint tail drive systemwith articulated centre support

The use of an articulated centre support in helicopters with extreme high mounted tail booms (e.g. Hughes 500) helps to balance up to 30 mm vertical off-set between mechanics and tail rotor. The centre support is double ballraced and pre-assembled.
