El 08 de abril 2001 los aviones más grandes del mundo, un ruso Antonov AN-124, aterrizó en el aeropuerto de Medfor en Oregon, y su tarea: recoger y transportar una Erickson Air-Crane. La administración de los bosques de Corea había contratado este helicóptero por un período de 30 días, en un intento de hacer frente de manera más eficiente con la temporada de incendios 2001. Su destino era la costa este de Corea del Sur, desde donde el helicóptero para llevar a cabo las misiones en la región Kangnung en un intento por combatir cerca de 200 incendios en zonas agrícolas, la mayoría de los cuales habían sido iniciadas por la quema de rastrojos "controlado". El Air-Crane ha contribuido a las operaciones de recuperación de desastres de este tipo en muchos países. Entre ellos estaba la tormenta de fuego Sydney a finales del año 2001/2002, más conocida popularmente por el nombre de "Negro de Navidad." El Erickson S-64 Air-Crane Helitanker es capaz de llevar un sistema de tanque montado en el fuselaje con una capacidad de 2600 galones (9800 l). Un snorkel especialmente diseñada está equipada, permitiendo que el tanque se vuelva a llenar en 45 segundos desde cualquier extensión de agua en la zona. El piloto decide el volumen a ser recogidos con respecto a la zona de agua sobre la que el avión pasa. Un sistema de control electrónico controla la cantidad y ajusta la mezcla de espuma en consecuencia. Nuestro modelo de Erickson Air-Crane se completa con una escala de rodaje y un sistema de accionamiento del rotor de cola sobre la base de un ballraced mm Ø eje motor de acero inoxidable 8. El kit también incluye un tanque de maniquí de agua, un conjunto de ventana de acristalamiento, mamparos y varios objetos pequeños. El modelo de helicóptero puede ser equipado con la mecánica convencionales para un motor de gasolina de 23 cc. En contraste con la máquina de tamaño completo, que está diseñado para un rotor principal 2-cuchilla. Otra característica especial es la caja de cambios de ángulo de 50 °, que se produce especialmente para este helicóptero. El modelo ilustrado está equipado con accesorios opcionales escala.
