Ballraces are used wherever moving parts are required to run with a minimum of play and a minimum of friction. The more ballraces are used, the more smoothly the mechanics of a helicopter works, and the lower the rate of wear. Flybar jig

91/1
Note

A flybar rotor head is controlled indirectly; movements are transmitted first to the flybar and paddles (Hiller control method, using auxiliary rotor head). The Hiller system only works perfectly if the paddles are set exactly parallel to each other. Unevenly set paddles also produce a bending moment on the flybar during every rotation which leads to more rapid wear.
The flybar jig is contained in the rotor head setting-up tools as well.

  • Flybar jig, pack of 2

Tip: Positive or negative blade angle of the paddles results in the tendency to dive, or the model slows down markedly. You correct that by horizontal setting of the paddles along the lines of the control bridge.
