Die Länge der Paddelstange spielt im Flugverhalten eine beachtliche Rolle: je länger, desto größer die Kreiselstabilität. Durch den größeren Drehkreis nimmt die Anströmgeschwindigkeit der Paddel und damit die Steuerreaktion zu. Die Lösung ist immer ein Kompromiß, angepaßt an die individuellen Wünsche des Piloten.
