The dimensions of a ballrace mean:
inside diameter (I.D.) x outside diameter (O.D.) x thickness. Reasonably priced plain bushes fulfil the same purpose as bearings but they should only be used on the non threaded part of a screw (not on the threaded section) and must be changed as soon as play is detected.
 

  • Plain bushes 3 x 7 x 3 mm
  • pack of 12


Important: the inner ring of a ballrace (in roll-axis levers, mixer cranks etc.) must be free to rotate. Shim washers are used to provide clearance where necessary. Shim washers are also used to compensate for excessive clearance which may result when tolerances accumulate.
