These provide additional lift in forward flight and serve as a housing for the retractable landing gear. Compared to other helicopters the tail boom is much larger in diameter and winglets complement the function of the horizontal stabilizer.

For VARIO's 650 "Triple Two" we recommend a maximum main rotor speed of 1600 rpm. Electric drive sets from VARIO are already tuned to this head speed.
